I would suggest to the programmer that I am sure the users would not object to a paid update. I paid the starting amount about eight years ago, and have never been asked for a further contribution. It’s exceptionally easy to print out a pdf of the family tree from any starting person for relatives to keep for themselves, both ancestors and descendants. I haven’t explored all the facets of this programme but there seem to be some powerful filters which can be used. The latest version of iFamily for Mac (V2.9.6) is current for all versions of Apples Mac range between OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard and macOS 10.13 High Sierra. However, once you get to grips with the software it seems very easy just put the family tree together, one piece fits in like another brick in a wall. I have no experience of using any other genealogy software, so I cannot make a meaningful comparison. ![]()
